Kenneth Bernard won the six-figure prize playing the “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” $10 scratch-off game.

He chose to take the lump sum of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity.

Bernard said he plans to buy a new car with the money. He didn't specify what kind.

He bought the ticket at Pride Station & Store at 13 N. Main St. in East Longmeadow. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for the sale.
